Regional Sales Manager, Retail Sales, QC
Job Summary
This role is an experienced intermediate level key account management sales role selling products to sales channels (non-eCommerce) with a focus on business growth. This role is part of a larger North American retail sales team of 5 that sells to brick and mortar and eCommerce customers.
This role is required to create and maintain customer relationships to sell Company products in the assigned sales region of Quebec. The role works with internal teams to market and sell Company products and inform customers of offerings with the support of a shared Coordinator role. This role supports customers and increases the customer base through targeted sales approaches to meet revenue and other sales targets.
This is a home office based role that is ideally based in Montreal (Quebec City alternatively) with a high requirement to travel within the Quebec region with occasional trips to the head office in Toronto.

Duties and responsibilities
The role requires a strong understanding of the sales process excelling at generating leads, building relationships and closing sales. The incumbent must be able to learn then showcase Company products and offerings strategically. Specifically:
- This role requires ongoing travel within the assigned territory and to the Markham Head office servicing new/key accounts and interfacing with internal teams
- Sells a collection of products within current/changing line of kitchenware brands
- Generate and develop new customer accounts, meet business targets through effective territory management and customer touchpoints
- Develop ongoing, profitable customer relationships while maintaining Company reputation
- Be a brand ambassador providing positive brand experiences to all customers
- Develop and deliver presentations highlighting products with high product knowledge
- Maintain ongoing awareness of comparable marketplace products and competitor activities
- Participate in corporate marketing activities such as trade shows and conferences (when travel conditions post COVID allow)
- High use of personal productivity technology to independently manage the day to day (Microsoft office, conducting virtual meetings/presentations)
- Use of a sales CRM system to track sales opportunities including using excel for reporting
Qualifications
- Bilingual with strong spoken and written French to work in assigned territory
- 5 years key account management sales experience in the kitchenware or houseware or consumer packaged goods industries (giftware experience an asset)
- Proven experience in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory through prospecting and developing customer relationships
- Dynamic, outgoing personality with an ability to influence
- Strong written and in-person communication skills and able to influence and problem solve
- Self-managed to work independently in a home-based office
- Must be willing to travel 80% of the time in the geographic territory
- Strong use of technologies to leverage processes and efficiencies (experience with a CRM system and Microsoft Office with strong Excel for reporting)
