Duties and responsibilities
Digital Tasks
- Conceptualize and implement design solutions that meet market strategies from concept to completion.
- Key point of contact for digital needs including images, web banners, social media, marketing emails and blogs, along with print: flyers, brochures, advertisements, and trade shows.
- Develop video marketing program to focus on brand, company, and product education.
- Produce concepts for approval, reviewing feedback, making edits, and ensuring each project is created to specification.
- Brand steward – ensures consistency of brands across business channels.
- Contribute to the culture and creativity of the brand, marketing, and ecommerce teams.
- Provide creative direction for photo shoots, providing thumbnails with angle or lighting preference so that visuals work across all mediums.
- Keep on top of industry trends and look for ways to elevate the brand and your projects.
- Create, assemble, and prepare final layouts for printer, and check proofs for errors.
- Manage cost estimates from outside printing companies, attend press approvals, if necessary, monitor and report on delivery schedules.
- Create strong internal relationships, work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Prioritize workflow to meet needs, tight deadlines and challenges while managing a high volume of projects.
- Work with Senior Graphic Designer – Digital to ensure brand guidelines are maintain across digital and print programs.
- Maintains image resource files.
Qualifications
Background
- A design degree (graphic design, industrial design, or related field).
- 1-2+ Years graphic experience within the North American market with preference for related experience managing similar lifestyle retail eCommerce products and brands.
- Must have fluency in Adobe Creative Suite CC (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
- Fluent French written skills a definite asset
- UX knowledge is an asset
- A strong design portfolio, with an understanding of typography, hierarchy, and structure.
- Demonstrated creativity and flexibility.
- Passion and excitement about design and technology and staying on top of current trends.
- Sharp attention to detail and a champion of consistency.
- A conceptual thinker that can translate ideas into innovative and crafted design.
- An understanding of how to engage audiences, to be relevant and insightful.
