The Graphic Designer is passionate about design and creating eye-catching brand-driven sales, marketing and packaging collateral. The focus is on the creation of marketing material including packaging, catalogues, digital material, campaigns, social media, and client presentations.
Duties and responsibilities
- Creation of marketing material, for all brands in the retail portfolio
- Ensure compliance with all brand guidelines and provide design expertise for new brands and initiatives
- Develop and maintain a variety of marketing collateral, including but not limited to the packaging, catalogue, flyers, brochures, advertisements, and digital assets
- Work with Marketing to provide all printed assets for tradeshows including booth graphics and signage
- Produce trade and customer advertising as required for ad bookings/co-op programs
- Provide artwork support for sales promotions
- Be involved with strategy, proposals, plans, pitches and most importantly design
- Conceptualize and implement design solutions that meet market strategies from concept to completion
- Collaborate with team to execute various initiatives and projects as assigned
- Ensure brand guidelines are maintained across digital and print programs
- Ensure all assets are properly filed and organized internally and for release to sales and customers
Qualifications
- A design degree (graphic design, industrial design or related field)
- 7+ years’ experience in graphic design – packaging/catalogue, branding & design
- Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite CC (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat)
- Strong knowledge of post-production and file submission standards for print and online
- Experience in catalogue artwork production and printing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
- Strong visual and verbal communication
- Ability to bring highly creative ideas to the table
- Expert knowledge of printing processes (lithography, digital & screen printing, binding methods, finishes, substrate etc.)
- Knowledge of consumer-packaged goods (CPG) standards
- Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to quickly adapt to multiple and often changing schedules and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to take direction and work independently to complete tasks as per expectations
- Passion for all things food and cooking
